Plain-language import paperwork — by country
What documents are required, who issues them, and what happens at the destination port. Five lanes we ship every month.
Pakistan — import documentation
Imports clear through Karachi (KICT / QICT) under Pakistan Customs / WeBOC. Heavy commercial vehicles for off-road, mining or dismantled re-use fall under different HS codes than the 5-year passenger-car rule.
🇦🇪 UAE — Free zone re-export, dealer turnaround & onward markets
For buyers using the UAE as a hub rather than a final destination, Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) and Khalifa Industrial Zone (KIZAD) let containers clear into bonded warehousing without paying mainland UAE duty, provided the cargo is re-exported or remains under bond. We ship complete units, knock-down crates and consolidated parts containers into both zones every month.
How JAFZA re-export works
- • Cargo lands at Jebel Ali and clears into a JAFZA-licensed warehouse — no UAE customs duty paid.
- • Goods may be stored, repacked, broken down or consolidated under bond.
- • On re-export, only the destination country's duty applies; UAE only charges a small admin fee.
- • Mainland UAE clearance (5% CIF + 5% VAT) only applies if you import out of the free zone.
Faster turnaround for dealer-volume buyers
- • 3+ units per booking, or a recurring monthly container, qualify for priority loading.
- • Paperwork pre-cleared so containers seal the same week the deposit clears.
- • Typical Peterborough-to-JAFZA dispatch: 7–10 working days from confirmed deposit.
- • Dedicated WhatsApp line for repeat buyers; written quote within 24h.
