How do I know this isn't a scam?

We're a UK business operating from a fixed yard in Peterborough — address, phone and WhatsApp are on every page. Before you pay anything we'll send live video walk-around of the exact truck or part, show you our yard, and put you on a call with the team handling your order. We invoice from our UK bank account in GBP — never via personal accounts, crypto, or anonymous wallets. If anything you see contradicts that, walk away.

How do I pay safely?

Accepted Answer

Standard process: a refundable holding deposit by bank transfer to our UK business account, then balance on bill of lading. We issue a numbered invoice every step. Escrow is available on request for larger orders. We do not accept payment to personal accounts and we will never ask you to wire money to a third party.

What if the part doesn't match the video?

Tested mechanical parts carry a 14-day warranty against described condition from the date you take delivery. If what arrives doesn't match the photos / video we sent, WhatsApp us within the warranty window with photos showing the issue and the part number stamped on the unit — we review against our pre-shipment record and resolve by replacement (subject to stock) or partial refund. What import documents will I receive?

Every export shipment comes with: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading (B/L) or CMR, V5 logbook copy (for complete trucks), MOT history, condition / dismantling report, and country-specific compliance paperwork (SONCAP for Nigeria, KEBS for Kenya, TBS for Tanzania, etc.) where required. Documents are emailed before the B/L is released.

What happens if customs delays the container?

Accepted Answer

Customs delays are unfortunately normal — we plan for them. If your clearance is held up, we'll forward any additional paperwork your agent requests at no extra charge, and we keep the shipping line's reference open so you don't lose your slot. We can't waive duties or destination port fees (those are charged by your country's customs), but we'll stay on WhatsApp until your container clears.

Do you offer warranty on parts?

Yes — 14 days on tested mechanical parts (engines, gearboxes, axles, hydraulic pumps), starting on the date of delivery. Cosmetic items, electrical components and anything sold as 'untested / for spares' are sold as-seen. The claims process is on the Parts page under 'Warranty & Returns'.

Which Pakistani port do you ship to?

Karachi (KICT / QICT) is the standard discharge port. Door delivery to Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan and Rawalpindi is arranged through our cleared agents — we quote inland trucking separately on the proforma.

How long does shipping from UK to Karachi take?

Accepted Answer

Sea transit is typically 28–35 days from Felixstowe, plus 7–10 days for documentation and Karachi customs clearance. Total UK yard → Karachi gate-out: 5–7 weeks in normal conditions.

What documents are needed for Pakistan import?

Accepted Answer

Bill of Lading, commercial invoice, packing list, V5 (chassis trucks), MOT history, and a Certificate of Conformity for the engine. We bundle these in PDF and email before B/L release so your clearing agent has everything in advance.

Are Volvo FH/FM trucks subject to the Pakistan 5-year age rule?

Accepted Answer

The 5-year rule applies to complete trucks for road use. Older trucks can still be imported as dismantled units, spare parts, or for off-road / mining / project use under different HS codes. We'll confirm the right route for your specific truck before invoicing.

Do you accept payment in PKR?

Accepted Answer

We invoice in GBP from our UK business account. PKR-to-GBP conversion is your bank's responsibility. State Bank of Pakistan import documentation (Form-E) is your clearing agent's responsibility — we provide every supporting document needed.

Which Kenyan port do you ship to?

Accepted Answer

Mombasa (KPA) is the main discharge port. Inland clearance to Nairobi ICD, Naivasha or Eldoret is handled by SGR/road; we work with established Mombasa clearing agents and can recommend one on request.

How long does Felixstowe to Mombasa take?

Sea transit is 30–38 days. Add 10–14 days for KEBS verification and KRA clearance. Total UK yard → Mombasa gate-out: 6–8 weeks.

Do you handle KEBS / PVoC inspection?

Accepted Answer

Yes — every Kenya-bound shipment is pre-inspected at our Peterborough yard by an authorised PVoC agent (Intertek, SGS or Bureau Veritas, depending on your preference). The Certificate of Conformity (CoC) is issued before container seal and bundled with the shipping documents.

Are right-hand-drive Volvo trucks compliant in Kenya?

Accepted Answer

Yes — Kenya is a RHD country and all our stock is right-hand-drive UK-spec. The 8-year age rule applies to complete used trucks; we'll confirm year-of-manufacture against your import permit before invoicing.

Question 16

What duties and taxes apply on arrival?

Accepted Answer

Import Duty 25%, Excise Duty (varies by engine cc), VAT 16%, RDL 2%, IDF 2.25%. Your clearing agent calculates the exact amount against our invoice CIF value. We do not collect Kenyan taxes on your behalf.

Dar es Salaam (TPA). Inland transit to Arusha, Mwanza or Mbeya is arranged through local hauliers — we can recommend agents in Dar.

Sea transit is 32–40 days from Felixstowe. Add 14–21 days for TBS verification and TRA clearance. Total: 6–9 weeks.

Do you provide TBS PVoC certification?

Yes — Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS) inspection is done at our yard before shipment by an authorised agent. Certificate of Conformity is issued and bundled with shipping documents.

Are second-hand trucks allowed into Tanzania?

Accepted Answer

Yes, subject to age limits depending on vehicle category. Heavy commercial vehicles have a more permissive age cap than passenger cars. We confirm against your TANCIS pre-arrival declaration before invoicing.

Which Nigerian port do you ship to?

Apapa or Tin Can Island (Lagos). PTML / Onne (Port Harcourt) on request for east-Nigeria buyers. We do not currently ship via Cotonou.

Sea transit is 18–25 days from Felixstowe — significantly faster than East Africa. Add 14–28 days for SONCAP verification and Nigeria Customs clearance. Total: 5–8 weeks.

Yes. Product Certificate (PC) and Form M reconciliation are handled by our authorised SONCAP agent before container seal. SONCAP certificate is bundled with the shipping documents.

Heavy goods vehicles attract 10–20% import duty plus 7.5% VAT, with ETLS 0.5% and CISS 1%. Your clearing agent calculates the exact landed cost against our CIF invoice — we don't collect Nigerian taxes on your behalf.

Yes — for orders over £30,000 we accept payment against confirmed irrevocable Letter of Credit through a tier-1 Nigerian bank. We provide proforma invoice and pre-shipment documents to support Form M registration.

Sea transit is 18–24 days from Felixstowe via Suez. Add 5–10 days for Dubai customs clearance. Total: 4–5 weeks — the fastest of our main lanes.

Yes — UAE is left-hand-drive. We source LHD Volvo FH/FM continental-spec trucks on request; please confirm before enquiry as our standard UK yard stock is RHD. Lead time for LHD sourcing is typically 2–4 weeks.

Yes. Jebel Ali Free Zone is a major hub for re-export to Iraq, Iran, East Africa and Central Asia. We can ship as a complete unit, knock-down (CKD) crates, or loose parts depending on the destination's import regime.
