Terms of service

These terms explain what Maximus does and doesn't do. They are written in plain English and are not a substitute for legal advice; the written quotation or agreement we send you for a specific job always takes priority.
1. What Maximus is
Maximus is a UK sourcing and shipping agent. We do not hold vehicle, machinery or parts stock and we do not sell vehicles as our own. Our services are:
- Sourcing (brokerage): finding vehicles or equipment from independent UK suppliers on your behalf. The seller is always the supplier, never Maximus.
- Marketplace advertising: sellers list their own vehicles. Maximus moderates listings but does not own, inspect or guarantee them, and is not a party to the sale.
- Storage coordination: storage is arranged per vehicle, subject to availability, site permissions and written confirmation.
- Freight arrangement: we arrange collection and shipping with carriers and an export partner, quoted in writing per shipment.
2. Quotes and payment
Every price is confirmed in writing before you commit. We never take payment for a vehicle you haven't seen and approved. Seller advertising fees are invoiced with a unique reference and are payable by bank transfer or a payment link we send you directly — we never ask for card details by message, and an advert goes live only after we confirm cleared funds.
3. Import eligibility
Destination-country guidance on this site is a pre-screen only. Final import eligibility — age limits, emissions class, steering side, duties — must always be verified by your local import agent or customs authority before you commit. We do not guarantee that any vehicle can be imported into any country.
4. Seller responsibilities
Sellers must own the vehicles they list or be authorised in writing by the owner, must disclose outstanding finance, must only upload photos they have the right to use, and must keep listings accurate. We can refuse, suspend or remove any listing or seller account, and act on reports from buyers. To report a listing use the report button on the listing or contact us at info@maximus-gfl.com.
5. Liability
We act as an agent and arranger. Vehicle condition, ownership and legal title are the seller's responsibility; shipping is performed by carriers under their own terms. Nothing on this site is a guarantee of legal protection, and nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
